expecting an interpretation

I post the following poem here and expect a professional translation and interpretation from perspective of comparative literature studies. :)

半百感怀 

早前与夫婿同游德北小岛黑尔戈兰岛，见红岩峭壁上银鸥漫集，或振翅游曳随心，或临崖风雨信步，非妙曼优雅言辞所能形容，心生羡慕之余，对世间万物性灵更多几分敬畏，无怪乎宝玉总以“俗物”、“蠢物”而自居。今生辰又至，难免回望往事短长。忆及当日岛上情形，再感此生愚顽卑微，造化无望，作下几句为记。

摆渡孤舟半世流，

缀蓬扑漏四十秋。

 笙歌隔岸销金月， 

橹语随波洗蜃楼。 

女子不才忧喜乐，

 泥胎异秉羡温柔。

 闲鸥似晓人间事，

 羽翼轻收导客游。

(Rowing the boat alone, towards the shore's opposite side.
With the flowing streams, half a century passed by.
My small boat is humble and wreck.
For mending the shed and fixing the leakage,
it took forty years of mine.
At the far end of my sense, the heartless festival joy is milting the golden moon,
while by my side, the murmuring scull and humming waves
are clearing up the mirage in the sight.

As a woman with least wise, human glories and vanities
are often flattering ones pride,

as folks who were born from the muddy mold,
our sensory pleasure is never tired,
while the idle birds are seemingly reckon the world better,
resting their wings on my boat-head elegantly and offering a guide.)
