Everything has its reason

Kai asked me today in the gap of his busy working hour, that why is that one can never count on others? If everything has its reason, what is the reason for that?
I replied, the reason for that one can never count on others is that one should never count on others.
Sure, it might feel bitter. Nevertheless, by realizing this, one might feel easier when one has to fight against the reality all alone.
